I den här två minuters filmen visar jag min process. Från besök där jag utforskar platsen, till arkivsökning, intervjuer och konstnärlig gestaltning i film.

A couple of years ago, I stumbled upon a treasure trove of photos and letters hidden in my father's bureau. They had been concealed there for nearly 80 years. Intrigued, I began examining the material, and it has now culminated in a film. The film revolves around the work and contributions of women after the Second World War, with my complex grandmother playing a central role. I invite you to witness unique, never-before-seen footage. Can this relief effort tell a story that resonates in our time?
The film is 45 minutes long and centers on a Swedish-Polish relief effort in Poland that has been completely forgotten. Warsaw is in ruins, children are suffering greatly, and tuberculosis is rampant. A large children's hospital is being constructed in the woods outside Warsaw, with all equipment and building materials sourced from Sweden. My grandmother participates as a medical secretary, and we hear excerpts from her letters, listen to radio reports, and see newsreels and images from the time and place in 1946. The construction is funded by the Swedish government and the Red Cross, intended to "become a memory for the future." What remains today? I visit the site.
